Healthcare Margins Inc. is currently seeking experienced Business Operations and Revenue Cycle Consultants for full time and contract positions throughout the US. Relocation is not necessary; however, extensive travel is required.

These positions provide a balance of high-level consulting and project management assistance to our clients. This position will provide professional consulting assistance to clients (hospitals, physician practice groups, academic medical centers, etc.) to maximize the efficiencies and effectiveness of business operations and revenue cycle management.

Engagement responsibilities may include:

Revenue cycle management
Interim management
Business process redesign
Strategic planning
Coding review
Operational assessments
Physician education
Organizational structure and staffing
Front desk operations
Workflow redesign reporting analysis

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a large physician group and/or hospital environment with senior level responsibility for A/R management
  • Knowledge of multiple aspects of business operations including front desk, coding, revenue cycle management, billing process and payer management is also required
  • Ability to apply practical business experience with the features and functionality of information systems to assist clients with implementations and redesign projects is necessary
  • Prior experience with GE/IDX, Epic, MEDITECH, Cerner or other major HIT vendors is a plus
  • The successful candidate will be able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the clients' staff
  • Must be analytical, innovative, able to meet project deadlines, possess a high level of energy, with professional acumen and be service and solutions oriented
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Creative problem solving skills, as well as excellent writing, presentation and listening skills, are required
